Welcome to MokSana Yoga Center’s Yoga Teacher Training Program.
We have been training yoga teachers since 2002 and have over 300 graduates now teaching all over the world and in many different settings.
Our programs emphasizes a well-balanced approach to yoga, enhancing the physical, mental, and emotional components of our being. You do not need to have any particular proficiency in the asanas, as our philosophy is that the person is more important than the posture, and every aspect of yoga, including the poses, must be tailored to each individual’s capacities. You will find that MokSana Yoga Center respects these qualities of acceptance, non-judgment, and balance.
MokSana Yoga Center has been a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance since 2003. Completing a Yoga Teacher Training Program with a school registered with Yoga Alliance is the only way one can become a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher). As of August 31, 2011, Yoga Alliance will no longer register teachers who have not completed their training with a registered school.

MokSana Yoga Center’s Teacher Training Program is also registered with PCTIA (Private Career Training Institutions Agency).
In British Columbia, private career training is regulated. Any private career institution offering a program with tuition of $1,000 or more and 40 hours or more in duration is required to register and adhere to basic education standards.
PCTIA was created to carry out the important role of student protection in the private career training sector. It is committed to protecting student interests. Explore their website (www.pctia.bc.ca) for more resources on how to be an informed student, get a list of registered and accredited institutions, and learn about how your tuition is protected.
